make it last.

I find it comical that many ideas or thoughts of mine come to me while washing the dishes. It’s a place where I can just get sh*t done and think. It’s quite rewarding when that sink is empty if I do say so myself…. and if you have no dishwasher that’s the only way it’s going to get done. Ha!

The other day, I thought about first impressions and if I’m being honest, a friend of mine posted something on Instagram about impressions and it just sparked a thought. (Thanks Vanessa😉)

An impression in our world today that is so torn and broken is quite crucial to our wellbeing. The impressions we make on a daily basis to someone could be the way you are remembered, for a lifetime if so. I get it, in some cases the way we dress is the way to capture the ultimate impression. Fancy red, drop top, zoom machine and your slick power suit. Sounds nice, sounds luxurious and captivating. Sign a girl up! That kind of impression stays on your brain. Stands out like the color that fancy car. But, I’m talking more on a personal and deeper level.

The kind of impressions that stay on our h e a r t.

The way you treat or make someone feel makes for a lasting impression. A feel good one. One that makes you smile because why? It made you feel a certain type of way. A certain type of plain and simple, happiness. We need impressions that can make a difference. Even a small one. Less is more sometimes, people! And that small little impression could make a massive impact of a difference. Hell, you could even turn their whole day around. Imagine how nice that would be for most of us right now.

So today, be a little more conscientious of how you approach one another, your day, your colleagues and most importantly, yourself. We, too, need to make an impression for ourselves. To lead by example. It’s what our world needs right now and not just right now but, a l w a y s.

Taking action now is great but being consistent with it is key. When you feel good, you do good. ❤️
